Gerald Morton ("Mort" to all who know him) began making pots in the early 1970's. He spent several years teaching at the
University of Regina
(Extension). In 1977 he moved back to rural Saskatchewan. He is by nature, and out of necessity,
an auto-didact. Since 1998 he has hosted a "Christmas" sale/show/party at the Saskatchewan Cultural Exchange Club, examples from the 2002 show are in the galleries.
Consistently successful these shows are the place to
see the best pottery of the autumn production season. In addition to the pots on display a good
selection of the ware made at Moose Mountain is available on opening night.
